Exclusive: The Frens Are Back with Baby Theodore!
Fan-favourites, the Frens, are returning for another exciting season of Travel Guides! This time, the family’s joys are amplified with the arrival of their newest member, baby Theodore.
Jono Fren, proud father and husband to Danielle, shared that life with their now 12-week-old son has been an adjustment, but one that he is “loving every second of.” Jono expressed immense gratitude for Danielle’s role as a mother, saying, “I do have a whole new respect for Danielle being a mum because there’s so much more the mum has to do than the dad.”
With Theodore born just after filming wrapped for this season, Jono has been dedicating his time to family life, delighting in every moment. “I just love seeing his cheeky smile. At around five weeks, we could start seeing his emotions and personality develop,” he added with a smile.
Family Support and New Experiences
Jono mentioned that his parents, Mark and Cathy, have been incredibly supportive, sharing nuggets of parenting wisdom, albeit delivered with a humorous note—“We’ve always said, ‘Your advice is welcome but don’t be offended if it’s not taken on board,’” Jono joked.
His sister, Victoria, is already embracing her role as ‘favourite Aunty’! According to Mark, the new parents are doing wonderfully with Theodore, stating, “Jonathan has stepped up and Danielle is the most beautiful mother.”
New Season of Travel Guides
In addition to their family joy, the Frens are looking forward to an exciting new season of Travel Guides, where they’ll experience travel with guest appearances from familiar faces including stars from The Block and Love Island. Their adventures this season will take them all the way to Chile, after previously visiting Ireland.
Mark expressed enthusiasm for the new cast, believing it’ll bring fresh energy to the show. “I think the network hit the nail on the head because it’s good to have some new blood,” he said.
