Justice Addresses Data Centers During 2026 Business Summit

Senator Jim Justice Discusses Data Centers at West Virginia Business Summit

At the West Virginia Chamber’s 2026 Business Summit, Senator Jim Justice addressed the ongoing discussions surrounding data centers in the state. Justice emphasized the importance of not leaving West Virginia behind in the tech industry, asserting that these centers could bring substantial energy and job opportunities to the region.

He expressed his belief that a balance can be struck between establishing data centers and protecting the environment and local communities. Justice stated, “For crying out loud, if you’re going to come to West Virginia and you’re going to do something in West Virginia, you need to be taking care of everybody. The environment, the water, everybody. Everybody. The electricity, bills, the noise, you’ve got to take care of everybody, and there’s a way to do it.”

The Business Summit is set to conclude on September 4th. More information is available on the Chamber’s website.
