BEHKO Expands into Columbia Industrial Market with New Warehouse Project
Charleston-based design-build firm BEHKO is making its mark in the Columbia industrial market by leading the construction of a new 57,750-square-foot warehouse in Lexington County. Selected by Magnus Development Partners, BEHKO will handle construction, structural, and MEP design for this project, which is poised to occupy the final speculative site in the Lexington County Industrial Park, expected to encompass over 2 million square feet when completed.
Magnus will manage architectural design, sitework, and utilities while BEHKO oversees the building’s construction and collaborates closely with Magnus and other partners to ensure seamless coordination between design and construction phases.
Construction is set to commence next month, marking a significant step in the evolving partnership between these two South Carolina firms. This project reflects the increasing investment in the Midlands industrial market, particularly along the I-20 and I-26 corridors, as companies seek well-located distribution spaces.
