CINCINNATI — A man has been arrested for drug trafficking after Cincinnati police recovered over $230,000 and multiple firearms.
The Central Business Section’s Violent Crimes Squad conducted a “lengthy investigation” into illegal drug trafficking in the Court Street corridor of the Central Business District, leading to the arrest of Andre Neal on Tuesday for felony drug trafficking.
A search warrant executed at Neal’s Westwood residence resulted in the seizure of several kilograms of narcotics, over $230,000 in cash, and two firearms. Police noted that the quantity of narcotics found was significantly above the threshold that would classify Neal as a “major drug offender.”
Cincinnati police emphasized that drug trafficking often correlates with violence and property crimes, stating such activities will not be tolerated in the Central Business District. However, the police did not disclose the specific types of narcotics involved in the case.
