Geaux Automotive Group Acquires Four Dealerships in Baton Rouge

Geaux Automotive Group has made a significant move by acquiring four former Hudson Automotive dealerships in the Baton Rouge area. The deal was finalized on Wednesday afternoon. The new acquisitions include a Volvo dealership and a pre-owned Super Center located at the intersection of Coursey Boulevard and Airline Highway, as well as Ford and Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram dealerships in Denham Springs.

This acquisition brings Geaux Automotive Group’s total dealership count to 12 across Louisiana, Mississippi, and Tennessee, increasing its workforce to 340 employees. CEO Lee Carney expressed a personal connection to the dealerships, having worked there for 17 years under the previous owner, Matt McKay’s All Star Automotive Group. Carney stated, “Those stores are like home to me.”

The growth comes in the wake of Hudson Automotive’s recent purchase of All Star Automotive Group dealerships, highlighting a trend of consolidation in the automotive dealership sector. Geaux Automotive Group aims to continue expanding, but with a more focused geographical strategy.
