CHICAGO – Authorities are investigating a series of overnight burglaries that occurred at small retail stores across various neighborhoods in Chicago.
Incident Details:
The break-ins took place in the early morning hours of Tuesday in the following neighborhoods:
- McKinley Park
- Bucktown
- Avondale
- North Center
- Lakeview
- Lakeview East
- Wrigleyville
According to police reports, the burglars broke windows or glass doors to gain entry and stole cash from the businesses.

- 2700 block of North Elston Avenue
- 3200 block of West Addison Street (Three businesses affected)
- 1800 block of West Irving Park Road
- 1400 block of West Irving Park Road
- 3700 and 3800 blocks of North Southport Avenue (Multiple businesses affected)
- 3200 block of North Clark Street
- 3100 block of North Halsted Street
- 2000 and 1800 blocks of West 35th Street
Suspect Description:
The police described the group as consisting of five individuals dressed in dark clothing, who were seen driving a small gray sedan.
