Young entrepreneur starts business prior to entering college

Zariah Champlin: A Young Entrepreneur’s Journey

At just 17 years old, Zariah Champlin is making headlines with her business, Z RiseDesignsCo, which she launched with only $600. Her creative products, including earrings, stickers, and the unique “Blind Dates with a Book,” are now available at seven locations across Omaha, with plans to expand to ten by year-end.

Zariah balances her entrepreneurial efforts with her studies as a dual-enrolled student at MCC, and she actively participates in the Mayor’s Youth Council. The oldest of seven siblings, she aims to use her growing success to support her family, particularly in funding her siblings’ college education.

Despite her busy schedule, Zariah is driven by her passion for art and the desire to build a sustainable career for herself. Her recent partnership with the North Omaha Visitor Center marks her as the youngest vendor there, offering a stepping stone towards an even brighter future.

Zariah’s journey reflects determination, creativity, and hope for her family’s future, proving that with hard work and ambition, dreams can become reality — even before graduation.
