Dewberry shared her personal experience with her dog, Murphy, who had a near-fatal encounter with dark chocolate. Thanks to emergency vet care and activated charcoal, Murphy lived to celebrate his 16th birthday, underscoring the necessity of such services.
Advancements in Pet Health Products
Svetlana Bisacquino, a pet trends expert, introduced the Pet Vet First Aid Kit, which includes 125 essential items like beef-flavored charcoal and wound care supplies—crucial for emergencies when a vet may not be accessible.
Moreover, wearable health monitors like Talktail, which fits around a dog’s neck, can detect abnormal health indicators and alert owners. Prices for these monitors range from $40 to $400, and some require a monthly subscription.
Another innovative product, Mung AI, serves as a robotic nanny for dogs. It monitors pets for risks and can release treats or calming scents during stressful situations. Currently, Mung AI is available for pre-order at $40, with the final price yet to be confirmed.
