Lincoln High School’s Automotive Program Receives New Technology
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – The automotive students at Lincoln High School are set to benefit from enhanced hands-on training thanks to a collaborative effort between Lively Technical College and Dale Earnhardt Dealerships.
A recent donation from the dealership, paired with matching funds from the technical college, has enabled the acquisition of a Road Force WalkAway Tire Balancer for the school’s automotive program.
According to a press release from Lively Technical College, this new equipment will provide students with the opportunity to train using technology that mirrors what they will encounter in the workforce. It aims to enhance their hands-on experience and better prepare them for further education and careers in the automotive field.
BJ Vancamp, the director of Lively Technical College, emphasized the importance of education in fostering confidence and competence in students. “Education—whether it’s traditional high school education or career and technical education—is supposed to build confidence and competence, so when they leave high school, they are ready to join the workforce,” he stated.
