This article introduces new faculty members at Utah State University Eastern, focusing on Jared Arnell and David Baca. Arnell is a physics lecturer with a background in debate and a passion for teaching. He holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree in physics and is nearing completion of a Ph.D. in learning sciences. Arnell is excited to teach Introduction to Astronomy, emphasizing that physics helps students understand the material world.
David Baca joins as a professional practice assistant professor in criminal justice, bringing almost 27 years of law enforcement experience. His goal is to guide students as they pursue careers in criminal justice. Baca has a particular interest in teaching Introduction to Forensic Science, benefiting from facilities designed for hands-on learning.
