What keeps you in Sioux Falls?

“Sioux Falls is one of the best places to raise a family, with safe neighborhoods, excellent schools, and all the amenities families need. My husband is a local dentist, and I’m grateful to have opened Primrose School of Sioux Falls at Heather Ridge here. The strong sense of community and quality of life made it feel perfect for us to put down roots.”

What’s your favorite thing about your job?

“The first five years of a child’s life are critical for development. Knowing that Primrose lays that foundation for every child who walks through our doors is incredibly rewarding. I see the impact on both the children and their families.”

How did you get connected to your industry?

“As a mom of two young boys, my husband and I faced challenges finding suitable childcare. In Colorado and Nebraska, we discovered Primrose and were impressed by the quality of care. We wanted to offer that same experience in Sioux Falls.”

Describe your workplace in three words.

“Playful, purposeful, welcoming.”

What is something someone might be surprised to learn about you?

“I started the franchising process at 25 and opened our school at 27. The hard work and long hours gave me a deep understanding of running a school, enhancing my confidence in the quality of care we provide.”

What’s your favorite way to give back to your community?

“Supporting families is central to Primrose. In our first year, we donated over 200 canned goods to Feeding South Dakota, more than 80 winter clothing items to The Salvation Army, and over 450 books to REACH Literacy.”

What’s one business you’d like to see in Sioux Falls that isn’t here now?

“Trader Joe’s! Their fresh flowers and peanut butter cup candy are unmatched.”
