Kraft Heinz Allocates $30 Million for Urban Development on August 26 | News

Kraft Heinz is investing $30 million in its Kendallville plant, which produces marshmallows and caramel. This project, approved by the Kendallville City Council with a 10-year tax abatement saving nearly $1.5 million, will enhance manufacturing equipment but won’t increase job numbers, maintaining the current 338 positions. Mayor Lance Waters expressed excitement over the company’s long-term commitment to the community. Additionally, the Kendallville Humane Society reported a substantial intake of animals, and local emergency services shared updates from their operations in July.
