The announcement was made at a showcase event in Mexico City, where local executives revealed plans to double local original productions compared to 2026, with 25 new titles slated for 2027, including returning seasons of popular shows.
Kelly Day, VP of International at Prime Video, highlighted the extraordinary talent and stories in Latin America, emphasizing a comprehensive investment strategy covering various genres and formats. In addition, starting September 26, Prime Video will become the home for the Mexico National Team, hosting 38 home matches over four years.
