Area One: Invest 92L
As of 8 p.m. Thursday, Invest 92L is located about 800 miles east of the Lesser Antilles. The designation as an “invest” allows for more detailed data collection, although it doesn’t guarantee development.
- Current Organization: The disturbance is showing less organization compared to earlier in the week.
- Development Chances: The National Hurricane Center has reduced development chances to 40%.
- Impacts: The Lesser Antilles can expect heavy rain and gusty winds as the disturbance approaches.
Area Two: Invest 94L
Invest 94L is also being monitored as it moves westward over the Atlantic Ocean.
- Current Status: Similar to Invest 92L, 94L may encounter dry air and increasing wind shear as it nears the Caribbean Sea.
- Development Odds: The National Hurricane Center currently estimates a 30% chance of development in the next two days and a 50% chance over the next week.
