The Americas attracted significant private equity (PE) funding, totaling $579.1 billion across 4,219 deals in the first half of 2026. The US contributed $545 billion from 3,926 deals, while Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMA) secured $343.2 billion from 4,067 deals. The ASPAC region saw $67.9 billion across 639 deals. Although these figures are slightly down compared to 2025, the rolling twelve-month statistics are more positive, with EMA increasing from $775.6 billion to $782.4 billion and ASPAC from $153.7 billion to $154.1 billion.
KKR’s $10 billion launch of Helix Digital Infrastructure was the largest PE deal in the Americas, and in ASPAC, Jardines’ acquisition of I-Med Radiology Network, backed by Permira, was the largest deal.
In Q2 2026, the EMA region was notable for three of the four largest global PE deals, including EQT’s $14.6 billion acquisition of Intertek Group and Bain’s $12.5 billion buyout of Everllence. Despite a decline in deal volume—from 9,084 in Q1 to 8,732 in Q2—the rolling twelve-month PE investment total rose from $775.7 billion to $782.4 billion. Large, high-quality deals helped maintain resilience in PE investment amid ongoing geopolitical and economic challenges.
