Energea, a renewable energy company based in Chester, has appointed Peter Lenardos as its first chief financial officer (CFO). This move comes as the company anticipates significant growth, planning to hire 10 to 15 additional employees by the end of the year. Lenardos will oversee various financial operations, including corporate finance and financial reporting, though he will not be relocating entirely to Connecticut.
Energea, co-founded in 2017 by Mike Silvestrini and Christopher Sattler, launched its investment platform in 2020, enabling individual investors to invest in solar projects for as little as $100. The company has experienced substantial growth, managing nearly $500 million across 228 projects and boasting over 20,000 investor accounts. Lenardos brings a wealth of experience from roles in investor relations and financial leadership within various firms, including Clear Street and OSTC Group Holdings.
As Energea continues to expand its team and operations, it emphasizes a remote work culture alongside its Connecticut office presence. Recent developments include launching a Latin America investment portfolio and financing a major solar project in Texas.
