Procter & Gamble is acquiring supplement brand Thorne for $3.8 billion, as confirmed by CEO Shailesh Jejurikar during a CNBC interview. The acquisition aims to enhance P&G’s health and wellness division, expanding on its existing health brands like Vicks and Oral-B.
Thorne, founded in 1984, went public in 2021 at a valuation of $525 million and was taken private by L Catterton in 2023 for $680 million. The company reported over $500 million in annual revenue in 2025, with CEO Colin Watts stating it could reach a billion-dollar valuation soon. Most of Thorne’s revenue comes from consumers under 40, and the brand is seeing strong growth in direct-to-consumer sales.
P&G’s shares rose by less than 1% in response to the news.
