SCC is committing up to £100 million over five years to enhance its expertise in artificial intelligence (AI) through a project called Project Sirius. This initiative will focus on five key areas: infrastructure factories, security, digital workplace, AI solutions, and hyperscaler marketplaces.
To bolster its capabilities, SCC plans to hire 100 new staff across the UK, France, Spain, and the Middle East, with some working from Advanced Technology Centres in Birmingham and Paris. A global AI division will also be established to lead project delivery.
CEO Robert Vassoyan emphasized the importance of using AI to transform critical business processes, particularly their quote-to-cash process, which involves multiple stages from customer orders to cash collection. The aim is to position SCC as a strong partner for its customers, helping them adopt AI effectively.
Chairman James Rigby described the investment as a step toward simplifying complex challenges for customers and creating high-value AI jobs.
