Paul Tudor Jones’ investment company increases its IBIT ownership following a year of divestment.

Tudor Investment, led by billionaire Paul Tudor Jones, has increased its direct investment in BlackRock’s spot Bitcoin ETF during Q2, acquiring a total of 688,529 shares valued at approximately $22.9 million as of June 30. This marks an 18.9% increase from 579,083 shares at the end of March. The current value of these holdings is around $24.5 million.

Additionally, Tudor reduced its call option positions significantly, slashing them by 85.2% to 148,000 shares from 998,000 in March. Its put option position saw a slight decrease of 1.4% to 715,000 shares.

While specific details on the options’ strike prices or expiration dates were not disclosed, these derivatives are typically used as a hedging strategy for cryptocurrency investments. Tudor first disclosed an initial holding of 869,565 IBIT shares in mid-2024, which grew to about 8.05 million shares by the end of the year before subsequent reductions in 2025.
