A new application called Supplemate by Remedy has been launched to empower consumers to better match their supplements with their health objectives. Its goal is to foster a transparent market and promote innovation backed by scientific research, according to its creator, Pawel Gruszczynski, who owns the pharmaceutical and nutrition consultancy Remedy.
Gruszczynski conceived the idea for this transformative tool during a panel discussion at his Remedy NutraFood conference in October 2025, which included professionals from Contract Development and Manufacturing Organizations (CDMOs) and ingredient suppliers.
“I inquired from the panellists about the pivotal factors that will reshape the industry. Matts Johnasen, CEO of Aker Biomarine, mentioned that artificial intelligence is enabling everyone to access scientific literature more easily, leading to an increased demand for ingredients supported by clinical trials,” he explained.
Recognizing the potential impact of this trend, Gruszczynski set out to develop software that could turn Johnasen’s vision into reality.
He was particularly enthusiastic about how enhanced transparency regarding scientific validation could lessen companies’ reliance on health claims approved by the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA).
“I want us to move away from over-dependence on EFSA and instead, give more credibility to suppliers who invest in clinical trials to substantiate their products,” remarked Gruszczynski.
In January of this year (2026), he released a beta version of SuppleMate by Remedy, with the fully developed version launching in April.
“The app leverages the user’s IP address to provide relevant information regarding legal status and authorized health claims. It prompts users about their health objectives and evaluates the ingredients in products, offering a score from one to ten on how well they align with the user’s goals,” he explained.
This innovative application not only assesses the scientific backing and regulatory standing of ingredients but also examines dosages and potential ingredient interactions to ensure they deliver the anticipated benefits.
Additionally, it takes into account other supplements the user may be taking, identifying any possible interactions and suggesting optimal times for intake.
“I am currently marketing it to businesses, as that is where my expertise lies,” said the entrepreneur. “I regularly collaborate with nutraceutical companies, and they find this tool invaluable for product evaluations, helping them verify whether the ingredients they use are appropriate for their offerings.”
He added, “Once companies recognize the app’s usefulness, they will likely recommend it to their consumers, benefiting the industry as a whole.”
The app is available on the App Store for iPhone users or can be accessed through any web browser.
Users receive three free credits before transitioning to a pay-per-use model.
“I wanted to avoid creating yet another subscription service due to the overwhelming number of them that keep charging you even if you don’t use the service. I prefer to ensure users are only billed for what they consume.”
NutraFood Poland Enters Industry Event Calendar
Gruszczynski launched NutraFood Poland last year to connect CDMOs from Central and Eastern Europe with global ingredient suppliers.
Following a successful inaugural event in Gdańsk in October 2025, the next main event is scheduled for the same location this October, supplemented by smaller satellite events throughout the region.
In summary, Supplemate by Remedy is a groundbreaking application designed to help users make informed choices about their supplements. By promoting transparency and scientific validation, it aims to enhance the overall supplement landscape for consumers and businesses alike.
