A beloved establishment on Hempstead Avenue has undergone a transformation. Bagel Town, a longtime fixture in West Hempstead, has reopened as Bagels N Appz, featuring a modernized space, a diverse menu, and an upgraded kosher certification.
The new management, who also operate Main Street Bagels in Queens, are well-versed in the industry. They are bringing a streamlined operation and an innovative menu concept to the West Hempstead location, with continued expansion expected as the soft opening continues.
What’s New on the Menu
The rebranding is more than just a facelift. Bagels N Appz is venturing far beyond the traditional bagel shop concept, offering a menu that closely resembles what Main Street Bagels features in Queens. Customers can expect classic bagels and house-made spreads, along with exciting new items like guacamole on bagels, a wider selection of tuna, and an expanding pastry menu that includes borekas, chocolate croissants, cheese croissants, and cheese danishes.
Pasta dishes have also been added, indicating a shift toward a café-style atmosphere. The menu is poised to evolve further as the establishment settles into its operations after Passover.
Sesame-Free and Nut-Free
Maintaining a key feature from its predecessor, Bagels N Appz operates as both sesame-free and nut-free, making it a thoughtful choice for customers with dietary restrictions. This important distinction makes the establishment more accessible to a broader audience.
Delivery Coming After Passover
Currently, the store offers takeout and in-store dining, but third-party delivery options through Uber Eats and Grubhub are set to launch after Passover. The current hours are from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with plans to extend closing time to 5:00 PM shortly.
