Bayer issues recall for travel-sized Afrin nasal spray due to labeling mistake.

Bayer is recalling travel-size Afrin nasal spray bottles due to a labeling mistake. The 6-milliliter (0.2-ounce) bottles lack the required warning that the packaging is not child-resistant. While they do advise keeping the product out of children’s reach, the omission could pose a risk. These recalled items were primarily sold in convenience stores and travel hubs, not major retailers like Target. Bayer assures consumers that the product’s quality and safety are not compromised, and they can contact the company for refunds. Federal regulations allow certain products to be non-child-resistant for accessibility reasons for elderly or disabled users.
