Clarksville Travel Advisory Issued Due to Major Events
CLARKSVILLE, TN – The Clarksville Police Department (CPD) has issued a travel advisory in anticipation of significant events this Saturday, including a visit from President Donald Trump, an APSU football game, and activities at Downtown Commons and McGregor Park.
CPD spokesman Scott Beaubien warned that motorists should expect substantial traffic disruptions, including road closures, altered traffic patterns, and detours. Those attending any of the events are advised to allow extra travel time, as even short trips could take much longer than usual.
Parking Information for Trump Rally
Parking in downtown Clarksville will be severely limited, especially around F&M Bank Arena. No vehicles will be allowed on streets directly connected to the arena, and attendees should prepare to park farther away and walk to the venue.
The two city parking garages at Second and Commerce and First and Commerce will be available for parking, while the Millan Parking Garage nearby will be closed. Attendees are urged to follow the instructions of traffic officers and not to drive around barricades.
