The Traitors Did Not Stick Together
During Thursday night’s episode of The Celebrity Traitors, Richard E. Grant became the first Traitor to be banished. His fate was likely sealed when he openly declared, “I’m a Traitor,” just moments after receiving the title. Despite Maya Jama’s attempts to rally support and deflect suspicion by targeting Amol Rajan and recruiting James Acaster, it ultimately fell short. Most contestants agreed that allowing Richard to stay would have been unwise.
Despite the banishment, Richard reflected humorously on his situation. He expressed that in hindsight, he might have lightheartedly responded to questions about his allegiance to deflect attention. He understood why his fellow Traitors chose to protect themselves, noting that James Acaster remained silent during the Round Table, indicating the majority view leaned heavily towards banishing him.
Joanne McNally, who diverged from the group consensus, found herself in a precarious position shortly after, while the group voted to eliminate Faithful player Myha’la.
