El Paso pet owners can pay tribute to their deceased pets during the upcoming Día de los Muertos celebrations. Friends of El Paso Animal Services, collaborating with El Paso Animal Services, is hosting the second annual community pet ofrenda at the Mexican American Cultural Center from October 17 to November 15. The “Siempre con Nosotros – Always With Us” ofrenda, featuring a Rainbow Bridge theme, will include traditional elements like handmade papel picado.
Community members can honor their pets by submitting a photo with a $5 memorial contribution, which supports various services for pets in need. Photo submissions are due by 11:59 p.m. on October 13, and details on participation can be found on the Friends of El Paso Animal Services Pet Ofrenda page.
