Rivian’s latest software update, version 2026.36, brings exciting news for pet owners. R2 vehicle models now feature a Pet Cam that allows you to monitor your pets through your phone’s lock screen. Utilizing the vehicle’s high-definition interior camera, you can either stream live video of your pet or view periodically updated snapshots, ensuring you never miss a moment.

- Pet Cam: View live footage or refreshed images on your phone.
- Easy Control: Stop the livestream with a tap on the vehicle’s main display.
- Enhanced Pet Mode: New updates allow you to enable Pet Mode from the Rivian app, along with a confirmation prompt to prevent accidental toggling.
In addition, the R2 models will also debut the Rivian Assistant, an AI voice assistant to help with navigation, entertainment, and climate control within the vehicle.
