Julianne Moore’s IKEA Shelf: A Viral Moment
Architectural Digest’s Home Tour series has showcased various celebrity homes, and Julianne Moore’s recent feature is no exception, capturing the attention of the internet. As she showcases her stunning apartment, she emphasizes her pride in a specific piece from IKEA: a sun-kissed shelf that she describes as a perfect solution for her limited storage space.
Moore’s Take on the Shelf
Moore remarked, “This I’m really proud of because this is IKEA. I needed a piece where I could have my dishes because we don’t have a lot of storage in here. I was thinking about having something built, and I found this, and then I put it together, and I was like, ‘Oh my gosh, the color is perfect.’ I like the industrial quality it has, and it ended up kind of going with everything.”
This particular Kolbjörn shelf is not only visually appealing but also practical, retailing for only $130. Crafted from galvanized steel with an off-white powder coating, it’s designed to withstand various elements, making it versatile for both indoor and outdoor use.
The Shelf’s Popularity
Moore’s endorsement has significantly increased the shelf’s visibility. Reviewers commend its aesthetic value, along with practical features like easy assembly and cleaning.
- Practical and Stylish: “I copied kolbjörn + applarö trellis as shown on the IKEA website. My 15-year-old had it all put together and in place in less than an hour. I have been very happy with it – solid, looks good,” said one satisfied customer.
- Versatile Usage: Another user shared that they initially bought it for their backyard, but it ended up being a perfect extension for organizing kitchen essentials.
