Macklemore, after being removed from Ed Sheeran’s Loop Tour, is set to stage a series of performances titled “Free Palestine,” with proceeds directed to Palestinian aid organizations. The shows will commence in Europe starting October 26 at Dublin’s 3Arena, followed by stops in Paris and London.
Macklemore has indicated that the events aim to support various groups including Anera, Gaza Soup Kitchen, and the UN agency for Palestinian refugees, among others. He highlighted a growing awareness regarding Palestinian liberation and criticized censorship by wealthy individuals in the industry.
Following his pro-Palestinian remarks, he was dropped from Sheeran’s tour, a decision attributed to the promoter, according to Sheeran. Macklemore claims the decision was influenced by billionaire Robert Kraft. Additionally, he plans to donate $1 million from his earnings to support humanitarian efforts for Palestinians.
