Francesca Talenti, an acclaimed filmmaker and former professor at UNC-Chapel Hill, is debuting her latest project, “In the Clouds,” which features nine films made from her time-lapse footage of clouds. After a decade of collecting cloud visuals, Talenti decided to organize them aesthetically rather than scientifically.
The films will be shown at the Eno Arts Mill in Hillsborough on October 17 and 18, with a discussion featuring Talenti. Some films include music, and she has adapted stories from local writers Daniel Wallace and Allan Gurganus into her work. Talenti aims to showcase her films within her community, as most of her footage was shot locally.
The screenings will take place at 7 p.m., with location details at 437 Dimmocks Mill Road.
