Local Family Receives Free Vacation Through “Journey of Hope” Initiative
(BATESVILLE, Ind.) – The first recipient of the Journey of Hope initiative launched by a Batesville travel agency has been selected. Megan’s Amazing Adventures created this program to sponsor trips for families who haven’t had the opportunity to get away and relax.
After collecting nominations, the agency surprised a local family with a free vacation this past weekend. They arrived at the home of Mark and Aimee Reese in Brookville to deliver the wonderful news.
Mark and Aimee are the proud parents of eight children—six adopted and two biological. Over the years, they have also provided daycare, temporary shelter, and have fostered more than 100 children.
Mark is currently facing serious health challenges, including liver cancer, while Aimee continues to care for him and their children. The family now has the opportunity to plan a fully-donated vacation, made possible by the travel agency and generous donors.
Megan’s Amazing Adventures expressed their excitement, stating, “We cannot wait to give the Reese Family something to look forward to—time together, a chance to step away from doctors and everyday stresses, make memories, laugh, explore, and simply enjoy being a family.”
