Fur Services Fur Pets Announces 19,469 Meals Donated to Animal Shelters Through Feeding Our Fur Friends Program
AUBREY, TX – October 05, 2026 – PRESSADVANTAGE: Fur Services Fur Pets has announced that its Feeding Our Fur Friends program has successfully donated 19,469 meals to animal rescues and shelters since its launch on June 1, 2024. Based in Aubrey, Texas, the in-home pet care company provides a meal for every service visit completed by its Pet Companions and delivers donations quarterly to chosen rescue organizations.
The donation amount is based on completed service visits rather than a fixed annual contribution, allowing busier quarters to produce larger donations without additional decisions. Clients can participate in selecting the two organizations to receive the support, helping to ensure that multiple groups benefit from the initiative.
The most recent donation, made in September, was shared between Heavenly Purrsuits Rescue and Little Elm Animal Services. In a unique request, Little Elm Animal Services opted for supplies instead of cash, enabling Fur Services Fur Pets to fulfill specific items from the shelter’s published wish list.
Owner Jessica Milam remarked, “Every visit our Pet Companions complete turns into a meal for an animal that does not have a home yet. Our clients are the ones funding this. They book the visits, and we count them and pass it along.”
The program partners for the 2026-2027 cycle include Heavenly Purrsuits Rescue and Little Elm Animal Services, with past beneficiaries including Dallas Cat Lady and A Voice for All Paws.
Heidi Sills, president of Spicy Whiskers Cat Rescue, expressed gratitude for the partnership, noting the significant impact that the contributions have on their operations.
The program was established in response to observed pressures on local shelters and rescues, as well as personal experiences with pet rescue. By linking donations to business performance, Fur Services Fur Pets ensures that its generosity can grow alongside the company.
Milam added, “Shelters know what they need better than we do. If they prefer supplies, we are happy to provide what they’ve identified.”
Fur Services Fur Pets offers dog walking, cat sitting, pet sitting, and other services, with each visit counting towards their meal donation goal. The company publicly reports progress on its Contributions page, with the next donation scheduled for December, expected to surpass 20,000 meals.
