Fire Breaks Out at State Fair of Texas
Dallas firefighters responded to a fire at the State Fair of Texas early Tuesday morning, with crews arriving just before 7:10 a.m. to a gaming stand on The Midway. Large plumes of black smoke were visible as they approached.
The blaze, originating from a “ring toss” game, was extinguished approximately 15 minutes after the firefighters arrived. Despite the quick response, the gaming stand suffered severe damage. Fortunately, the fair was closed at the time, and no injuries have been reported.
Fire crews are currently addressing hotspots within several stuffed animals and other prizes that were part of the game. An investigation into the cause of the fire is underway.
