BlackRock, the world’s largest asset manager, is significantly increasing its investments in the Gulf region, anticipating that countries will utilize their state wealth for domestic investments following the ongoing Iran conflict. Despite the conflict’s uncertainty, Ben Powell, BlackRock’s chief investment strategist for the Middle East and Asia-Pacific, emphasizes their strong focus on the region, pointing to its relative stability and positive business climate.

With challenges like persistent inflation and rising capital costs making investors more selective, Powell suggests that confidence in stable regions, like the Gulf, is becoming increasingly rare and should be seized upon.
