Celebrity Traitors: Cast Fees and Details
This year’s Celebrity Traitors cast boasts major names like Michael Sheen, Richard E Grant, Maya Jama, Ross Kemp, and Bella Ramsey. So, how much are they earning for their time on the show?
Payment Structure
According to reports, celebrities are receiving a flat fee of £40,000 for their participation. This was discussed on the “The Rest Is Entertainment” podcast, where host Marina Hyde suggested that the BBC secured such an impressive cast by offering each participant this same amount. However, some celebrities, like former rugby player Joe Marler, indicated they received less; he mentioned being paid £30,000 for his appearance in a previous season.
Earnings Regardless of Performance
The appearance fees are not influenced by how long a celebrity lasts in the competition. Whether they are secret Traitors, remain Faithful, or get eliminated in the first round, the fee remains the same.
Prize Pot
In addition to their appearance fees, the cast competes for a prize pot of up to £100,000, which depends on their performance in challenges. Importantly, the winner will not keep the prize but will donate it to a charity of their choice.
While UK celebrities enjoy a solid appearance fee, it’s worth noting they are not vying for the much larger sums seen in other versions of the show. Nonetheless, earning £40,000 for a few weeks of strategic gameplay and accusations against fellow celebrities is a lucrative opportunity.
