The Vikings have adopted the mantra “Just win, baby,” a slogan famously associated with a rival franchise from their last Super Bowl appearance. Their recent performance, particularly the lack of touchdowns, has brought attention to their unconventional success.
In their latest game against the Dolphins, the Vikings managed to win using five field goals, continuing a trend of low offensive output. Interestingly, they became only the third team in history to begin a season 4-0 without scoring a touchdown in multiple games, following the 1922 and 1923 Chicago Cardinals.
Despite the offensive struggles, there was a silver lining as they recorded their highest yardage of the season at 336 yards. Tight end T.J. Hockenson strategically took a knee near the end zone, allowing the team to grind down the clock and secure the victory without needing a touchdown. While the Vikings have won, concerns linger about their offensive consistency moving forward.
