Gypsy Rose Blanchard Claims Ken Urker Suffered an Overdose

Gypsy Rose Blanchard recently spoke out about the death of her fiancé, Ken Urker, who passed away from an overdose on his 34th birthday. Blanchard mentioned that Urker struggled with online harassment and hinted that it may have contributed to his mental state leading up to his death. She expressed uncertainty about whether his death was intentional but confirmed he hadn’t been well lately.

Authorities responded to his home but found him deceased upon arrival. In light of his passing, Blanchard has initiated a petition for “Kenan’s Law,” aimed at holding social media platforms accountable for their handling of harassment reports, citing their failure to address the bullying Urker faced online.

Blanchard herself has a complicated history; she gained notoriety after being sentenced to prison for the murder of her mother, who suffered from Munchausen syndrome by proxy. More recently, she married and later divorced Ryan Anderson while in prison, and welcomed a child with Urker in December 2024.
