New Industry Association Launches to Support Regulated Gaming in Canada
MONCTON, NB, Oct. 5, 2026 /CNW/ — The Canadian Alliance for Regulated Gaming (CARG) has officially launched as a national not-for-profit association representing the legal gambling sector in Canada.
Formerly known as the Canadian Lottery Coalition (CLC), CARG has evolved to address the modern dynamics of the Canadian gaming landscape.
CARG’s members are public lottery and gaming organizations that reinvest all profits back into provincial services. The organization aims to foster collaboration, conduct research, and engage in policy advocacy around key issues affecting the gaming industry.
As the gambling environment shifts, CARG will collaborate with governments, regulators, and industry stakeholders to promote policies that prioritize player health, consumer protection, and effective regulations. The rise of illegal online gambling, increased advertising, and new gaming products pose challenges that necessitate a coordinated response.
Molly Cormier, Executive Director of CARG, emphasized the importance of a unified voice in the industry. “Canadians must be at the centre of how we respond,” she stated, highlighting the need for collaboration to safeguard public interests.
To support its mission, CARG has launched a new website that provides resources for stakeholders and the public about its ongoing work.
