Middle East Travel and Tourism Updates

Kandooma Maldives has rebranded from its previous identity as Holiday Inn Resort after 17 years, launching a new all-inclusive concept aimed at families while retaining its island charm and hospitality. The resort now offers new accommodation options, including eight Family Beach Pool Villas with private splash pools and children’s sleeping areas, as well as additional pools in two-bedroom Beach Houses and new three-bedroom Pool Villas.

The all-inclusive model encompasses more than just meals; guests staying four nights or more can enjoy activities like sunset cruises, sunrise fishing, and guided snorkeling. Certified divers benefit from a “Dive Free” program, which includes complimentary guided dives.

General Manager Andrew Drummond highlighted the goal of transforming guest experiences beyond traditional meal plans, emphasizing the importance of family bonding and exploration. The resort now focuses on five Kandooma Signatures: marine activities, dining, wellness, entertainment, and local culture.

Notable features include a PADI 5-Star Dive Centre, themed dining experiences, a Beach Club for social gatherings, and wellness offerings like yoga and massages. The resort also prioritizes family amenities with free kid’s meals and a dedicated kids’ club, allowing family members to enjoy individual activities while fostering togetherness.

Located 35 km south of Velana International Airport, Kandooma Maldives features 146 villas in various settings, enhancing the overall guest experience.
