Celebrity Greyhound Returns with Finale Calendar
A round of “a-paws” goes to Jason Dunkle and his 11-year-old Italian Greyhound, Greyson, for the 2027 Old West calendar, showcasing Greyson as the charming character “Mad Dog Greyson,” a mischievous treat-smuggling bandit.
Photographed at Wild Gals Old Time Photo in Pigeon Forge, TN, the calendar features clever costumes designed by Dunkle that portray Greyson in various iconic roles—like a southern gentleman and a cowboy—while Dunkle plays Sheriff Jason “Quick Draw” McGraw in an ongoing storyline.
Calendar Highlights:
- Size: 12-by-12 inches
- Features: Historical facts and unique insights about Greyson included each month
- Personal Touch: Each calendar comes with Greyson’s personal “paw-a-graph”
Greyson has built a local following over the years, winning costume contests and gracing the covers of magazines. He’s also famous for his appearances at community events, including the Washington County Italian Festival.
“This is our sixth and final calendar,” Dunkle notes, reflecting on their journey and the desire to create a keepsake beyond a simple calendar.
Special Tributes:
Dunkle started this journey with his first Italian Greyhound, Roxy, who inspired costumes and calendars since 2009. Following her passing in 2021, Dunkle includes a heartfelt tribute to her in the new calendar. A portion of the proceeds will support the Italian Greyhound Rescue Foundation.
A Story to Tell:
Dunkle initially intended only to capture new photos but felt compelled to craft one last calendar with a fun narrative—featuring Greyson’s humorous escapades, such as his daring escapes from “Barkatraz.”

The calendar is available for $40, which includes shipping and a donation to the rescue. To order, checks can be sent to:
