Amol Rajan from Celebrity Traitors shares the key strategy he employed in the competition.

Celebrity Traitors is proving to be full of surprises just two episodes in. Recently, it was announced that BBC journalist Amol Rajan became the first celebrity to be “murdered” by traitors Maya Jama and Richard E Grant.

After his exit, Amol candidly discussed his experience on The Celebrity Traitors: Uncloaked, admitting he “played the wrong game.” He tried to control his instinct to ask probing questions, which he believed contributed to his downfall.

Reflecting on his time in the game, Amol mentioned that with hindsight, he realized he could have played a more strategic role. He expressed a desire to have been a traitor, suggesting that if he had been recruited early on, he might have been effective due to his understanding of both sides of the game.

Interestingly, Richard E Grant made a significant blunder by revealing his traitor status just moments after learning it, which Amol noted as an unorthodox move that could potentially jeopardize his gameplay.

Overall, Amol believes that maintaining a low profile in the early stages might be the key to succeeding in the game, encouraging future contestants to “shut up for the first few shows.”
