Exclusive: New Horror Project “Bleed the Night” Acquired by Fox Entertainment Studios
In an exciting development within the horror genre, Fox Entertainment Studios has acquired the spec script Bleed the Night, penned by Keith Cooper and Zoe Cooper, based on a story by Cooper and Justin Dyck.
Bleed the Night centers on a lonely teenager who answers a cryptic ad stating “MUST LOVE BLOOD.” This fateful decision leads her to a charismatic young vampire, igniting a summer night in 1994 filled with friendship and a bloody crime spree that challenges her limits for the sake of companionship.
Mark Ankner will produce for Mountain Top Pictures (known for Ponyboi and Slanted), together with Adam Goldworm under his Aperture banner, which is linked to upcoming projects like Horrorstör and Hannibal. While details are still under wraps, it is reported that the team is pursuing directors with plans to start filming in Q1 2027.
The creative talents of Keith Cooper and Justin Dyck aren’t new to the horror scene; they’ve previously collaborated on the acclaimed 2020 film Anything for Jackson and the upcoming QC Entertainment project Casket Girls, starring Gabrielle Union. Cooper has written, while Dyck has directed both projects. Dyck has also contributed to Shudder’s Creepshow.
The team is represented by WME, Aperture, and Ashley Silver at Brecheen Feldman Breimer. Zoe Cooper is represented by WME, Gotham Group, and Stuart Rosenthal at Goodman, Genow, Schenkman.
