Entertainment technology company Esk is expanding its North American presence with two new appointments following a funding round that raised £2.6 million ($3.5 million).
Founded in Edinburgh in 2022, Esk specializes in producing live entertainment events using its proprietary technology and production expertise. The company has collaborated with major organizations like NatGeo, Netflix, Blizzard Entertainment, Paramount Skydance, and the BBC. Some of its recent and upcoming events include “Top Gun: Maverick — Live in Concert,” “Ocean in Concert” narrated by David Attenborough, Netflix’s “Life on Our Planet — In Concert,” and “World of Warcraft: 20 Years of Music,” all designed for international touring.
Toby Tumarkin, executive VP and global head of artists & attractions at IMG Artists, will join Esk as a consultant to guide the company’s North American operations. Lindsay Kratz, who previously served as the senior West Coast booking agent with Opus 3 Artists, has been appointed as Esk’s head of U.S. sales and partnerships.
While at Esk, Tumarkin will retain his role at IMG Artists, where he oversees the management and growth of IMGA’s attractions, world music, and jazz/folk Americana roster from the New York office. Kratz brings over 15 years of experience in representing and booking top-tier performing artists and building strong relationships across the performing arts community.
