College Fall Ball at Keesler Federal Park
BILOXI, Miss. (WLOX) — Baseball is back at Keesler Federal Park, with college fall ball showcasing the sport following the conclusion of the Shuckers’ season. Fans were treated to exciting matches for the second consecutive day on Thursday.
The exhibition schedule includes 12 additional college baseball games in Biloxi, inviting fans to enjoy the ballpark even in the Shuckers’ off-season. Jeff Carman, stadium operations manager, emphasizes this as a chance for new visitors to experience the great stadium and for college players to perform on home ground.
Unfortunately, Friday’s games were canceled due to severe weather threats. Here’s a look at the upcoming games in the exhibition schedule:
- Friday, October 9: Mississippi State vs. Auburn at 6 p.m.
- Saturday, October 10: Mississippi State vs. Southern Miss at 2 p.m.
- Saturday, October 24: Memphis vs. Southeastern Louisiana at 12 p.m.
- Saturday, October 31: Samford vs. LSU at 3 p.m.
- Sunday, November 1: Samford vs. LSU at 1 p.m.
For community engagement, the ballpark serves as a gathering place, reaffirming its importance even in the off-season.
