Travelers report that their Maryland-based tour company abandoned 70 women in France and is stalling on issuing refunds.

A Maryland travel company, Younique Ventures, has faced backlash after cutting short a luxury trip to France for over 70 women, leaving some still awaiting refunds. The retreat, called the “Goddess Refresh Experience,” was intended for July but was cut short by four days due to flight disruptions, causing confusion and additional expenses for attendees.

According to reports, travelers were informed by co-owner Kendra Brown that they needed to make their own travel arrangements following the abrupt change. Brown had promised refunds for the canceled parts of the trip and reimbursement for any unexpected costs within 60 days, but many are still waiting for their money.

Younique Ventures attributed the premature ending of the trip to a last-minute aircraft change that resulted in insufficient seating. They stated that they decided against splitting the group, which led to the cancellation of accommodations and activities. Despite their commitment to issue refunds, the company claimed that an influx of chargebacks has complicated this process.

In a separate incident, a traveler who paid nearly $30,000 for an upcoming trip to Australia and Fiji filed a police report regarding unfulfilled flight and hotel bookings as Younique Ventures ceased communication with her prior to departure. The local sheriff’s office is currently investigating the situation. Younique Ventures has indicated they are working to offer travel credits and will keep affected customers updated.
