Pelicans to Air 20 Games Free on FOX 8 in 2026-27 Season
NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) – New Orleans Pelicans fans will be excited to know that they can watch 20 games over the air on FOX 8 during the 2026-27 NBA season without needing a cable or streaming subscription.
The Gulf Coast Sports & Entertainment Network announced on Wednesday that FOX 8 will simulcast these 20 Pelicans games, which include 11 home games and nine road games. The coverage kicks off with the Pelicans’ season opener on Wednesday, Oct. 21, as they host the Indiana Pacers at 7 p.m.
FOX 8 and GCSEN General Manager Mikel Schaefer expressed excitement over the commitment to simulcast more games than ever before, reinforcing the loyalty and passion of Pelicans fans.
Among the highlighted matchups are two home games against the Los Angeles Lakers on December 2 and New Year’s Eve. Other notable games include home matchups against the Oklahoma City Thunder, Philadelphia 76ers, and Phoenix Suns, as well as road games against the Golden State Warriors, Boston Celtics, and New York Knicks.
Pelicans Team President Dennis Lauscha shared the network’s goal of delivering a high-quality broadcast experience to expand viewership and provide fans more opportunities to connect with the team.
