Record-Breaking Oktoberfest and Live on the Lawn in Kuttawa
KUTTAWA — This year’s Oktoberfest and Live on the Lawn concert in Kuttawa set new attendance records, featuring an array of delicious food, craft beer, and lively music against the scenic backdrop of Lake Barkley.
During the festivities, attendees savored local craft beers and cocktails while enjoying live performances. Kuttawa Tourism Director Justin Kimbro highlighted the benefits of relocating Oktoberfest to Silver Cliff Park, stating it enhanced the event’s local character.
“It provided a distinctly Kuttawa atmosphere,” Kimbro remarked. “We’re thankful to everyone who contributed to this year’s celebration.”
Foster Stacy from Paducah Beer Werks, attending for the third time, praised the event’s community spirit and highlighted their popular “Irish Red” brew. “It’s wonderful to see a small town come together like this,” he said, expressing intent to return next year.
Event-goers echoed similar sentiments. Raymond, a Clarksville resident, appreciated the spacious setup at Silver Cliff Park, noting, “You don’t have to fight for space this year,” and expressed eagerness for next year’s event.
Dale, visiting from West Yorkshire, England, experienced the event’s joy while sampling local beers. “The atmosphere is fantastic,” she said, comparing the brews favorably to those at home.
The concert portion of the event also received high praise, with attendees enjoying performances from tribute bands No Limits and JUMP.
Kimbro reaffirmed that the event achieved its goal of entertaining locals while attracting tourists and is already planning for 2027, including potential musicians for the next lineup.
“Events like these give people reasons to visit Lake Barkley and support our local businesses,” Kimbro stated.
