Travel Pass Notification

In a recent update dated September 18, 2026, the pass travel program has introduced a new policy regarding the cancellation of confirmed seats. Employees are now allowed to cancel a confirmed booking and travel as Non-Revenue Standby (NRSA) for the same date and itinerary if:

  1. The confirmed booking was made at least seven days before departure.
  2. The booking is cancelled within 24 hours of its creation.

Additionally, the article emphasizes a key policy reminder related to sickness and travel:

“If you are too sick to work, you are too sick for leisure travel.”

It’s important to note that this policy does not apply to Flight Attendants. They are not prohibited from traveling while on sick leave nor required to seek permission beforehand. However, they are expected to maintain a heightened accountability; if traveling while on sick leave, they must justify that their sick call was legitimate and that their travel does not impede their recovery.
