Carrot Top, the comedian known for his distinctive curly red hair and prop-based humor, has been released from a Las Vegas hospital following a reported suicide attempt. Scott Thompson, 61, is now home with family and is doing well, according to his publicist, Jami Schlicher.
Thompson was hospitalized on September 18 and was later confirmed to be improving while surrounded by loved ones. The reasons for his hospitalization have not been disclosed, although it coincided with a legal dispute involving former friend Brian Evans, who has been accused of extortion, claims he denies.
Schlicher expressed that Thompson and his family are grateful for the support they’ve received and have requested privacy. The comedian has inspired many with his humor, which has been a significant part of his identity.
