White House prohibits CNN from accompanying Trump on Air Force One.

US broadcaster CNN has been excluded from accompanying President Donald Trump on Air Force One for a trip to Tennessee, highlighting ongoing tensions between the White House and various media outlets. This decision came just days after Trump had lifted a prior ban on some news organizations, including CNN, Politico, and MS NOW.

CNN was originally set to cover Trump’s appearance at a college football game, but a note released by the White House failed to include CNN in the media schedule. The network noted that there was no indication of a replacement in the president’s itinerary.

The exclusion follows Trump’s allegations that these outlets have published “fiction or lies” about his administration, prompting legal actions from the affected media. In solidarity, four major television networks—ABC, CBS, Fox News, and NBC—paused their coverage of the president.

Despite a federal judge ruling that prohibiting media access was likely unconstitutional, the White House has continued to limit participation for some journalists, citing control over press access. Following a brief pause, normal TV coverage resumed after White House officials allowed reporters entry.

Trump is scheduled to attend the University of Tennessee vs. University of Texas football game on Saturday in Knoxville.
