At just five months old, Joy is available for adoption through Birds of Paradise Sanctuary & Rescue. Marsha Panuce from Donte’s Den featured her on ABC7’s Noon News, highlighting that Joy loves being around people—especially if they’re wearing something shiny!

“She’d fit into any family,” said Panuce. “She’s just full of happiness and joy, hence her name.”

While Joy is a social and playful bird, potential adopters should be prepared for a long-term commitment, as sun conures can live up to 30 years.

Birds of Paradise Sanctuary & Rescue, located in Bradenton, rehomes exotic birds who are suited to life as companion animals.

For more information on Joy or to arrange a visit to the sanctuary (by appointment only), call 727-366-9997 or visit birdsofparadise.org.
